CUBASE DOWN PRO
Opposed to Pro Tools I believe that you can just activate the playback in halftime without having to keep your fingers on to key command, but in Cubase you’ll need to keep your fingers on that key command, but this is how you can do this in Cubase. Okay, now the only thing though is that you’re going to need to keep your fingers on that key command for it to play in halftime.

And this is how it’s going to sound like when I’m applying that command.
CUBASE DOWN PLUS
This is what I did and mine is set up to control plus shift plus one. Now, since there’s no default shortcut for this command you’re going to have to set one up yourself. If you look for the transport folder, you’re going to go down until you get to shuttle play and you’re going to select the first one shuttle, one and a half X. What you need to do is to go on top on edit, go down to key commands and what you’re going to look for on the transport. And the question is it, can it be done in Cubase because Warren works with Pro Tools and you can easily do this in Pro Tools? Let me show you how you can do this in Cubase. Can this be done in Cubase?” This is related to a video that Warren Huart released not too long ago, where Warren plays back his mix in half speed to address some issues. “Hey Chris, how can I run playback at half speed to address high pass filter issues. This is how you can route your track or tracks into two different group channels by using the direct routing out of Cubase Pro. If I do the same with the second one, I can do the same with both. If I click on the play and I solo the first output, the first group, I have those tracks playing. Now you have several outputs activated for those selected channels. And now everything is going to become blue, that means that all of those outputs are activated. And I’m going to keep my finger on shift, and then I’m going to select the unselected output. To fix that, let me go back and select the first one. Now, the problem I have right now is only one of those outputs is selected. To activate them, make sure all of your tracks are selected and just click on Group Two in my case and that will select the second group. But you’re only going to be able to see that second output on the direct routing, the direct routing tab. I’m going to select it and I have on my Group Two on those channels as a second output. Right now we have the same Group One as we have on top, okay? What we’re going to do, we’re going to click on the row and then we’re going to look for Group Two that I just created and there it is. If this is not checked on make sure it’s checked and then you will see at the bottom, the direct output tab that you’ll be able to click on and that will show you the direct output of those channels. Now, if I go on top and I click on the racks, you’re going to see… let me zoom a bit. And I’m going to make sure that quick link on top is selected. I’m going to select my same guitar channels that I selected at first. I’m going to just create a new one, I’m going to right click. To answer your question, you want to create a second group track and send those same tracks into that second group. Now I know that those channels are routed into this group channel. Basically if I click on play or I solo this group track, it’s going to solo all of those channels.

Now all of those tracks, those guitar tracks are routed, meaning that the output of those tracks are going into Group One, which is this group channel track. I’m going to click on add group channel to select the channels, I’m going to call this one, Group One.Ĭlick on add track. I’m going to right click on those selected tracks and let’s create a new group channel to route those channels into. I’m going to select them all, I’m going to go straight to my and mix console. I have a bunch of guitar tracks right here. In other words, how can I send the same few tracks to two different proof channels?” Let me show you how you can do this in Cubase Pro if you’re working with the pro version, because there’s a very easy way to do so.
